Why equipment fails fast in South Florida

Salt air, sun, and storm power

Coastal corrosion is real. Waterfront salt cells average 3–5 years vs. 5–7 inland. Pump shafts and seal kits corrode 30–40% faster than the national average. We carry the common replacement parts on the truck.

Heat shortens pump motor life. South Florida pumps run 8–12 hours daily in summer with water and ambient temps both pushing the bearings. Variable-speed pumps that should last 8–10 years often need a rebuild at year 5–6.

Storm power surges. Hurricane and afternoon storm surges kill more salt cell control boards than chlorine ever does. Surge protection at the equipment pad is the cheapest insurance most South Florida pools never install. We'll quote it.

How a repair call works

Diagnosis first, fix second

  1. Site visit + diagnosis

We come out, run pressure tests, electrical checks, and identify the failure. No diagnosis charge if we proceed with the repair.

  2. Written estimate

Itemized parts + labor. No work begins without your signed approval. No surprise charges.

  3. Repair or replace

Common parts on the truck for same-visit fixes. Major equipment replacements are scheduled within 3–5 days.

  4. Test and warranty

Every repair gets a 90-day workmanship warranty. Parts carry manufacturer warranty (typically 1–3 years for major equipment).
