What we do on day one
Speed matters with green pools. The longer the algae sits, the more chemicals it takes to kill — and the more your equipment suffers.

Why pools go green in South Florida

Algae explodes when chlorine drops below 1 ppm in summer water above 85°F. That can happen in 48 hours if a pump fails, a salt cell dies, or chemicals weren't refilled. By the time you see green, the algae is already dug into the walls and lining.

Days 2–3 — Monitor and adjust
Daily chemistry checks, additional dosing if needed, filter backwash as algae dies. Water turns from green to cloudy gray-white.
Days 4–5 — Clear up
Cloudy water filters out. Final balance. Equipment check. Documentation.
Optional: weekly service handoff
